Northiam, East Sussex

There are many fantastic aerials view of East Sussex to enjoy from hot air balloon flights. See also other pages on this website for further inspiration.

From the Anglo Saxon meaning ‘water meadow’, Northiam is just less than 6½ miles northwest of Rye, which can be reached by the A28 and A268. By travelling southwest along the A28 and A21, Hastings can be met within just fewer than 7½ miles. Less than 2 miles north of Northiam flows the River Rother. Again just north of Northiam, set in beautiful countryside is the Great Dixter House and Gardens, what was once an army hospital during WWI. Slightly to the west of the Northiam sits the Brickwell House and Gardens.

Passengers with vouchers from Experience Day companies can, in many cases, choose the location of their flight from a range of take-off locations*.

Book a Hot Air Balloon Flight over East Sussex, or elsewhere in the UK.

Use the controls in the top-left of the image above to zoom in or out and to "move" over this part of East Sussex and view the ground as if from a hot air balloon flight in summer. Alternatively, steer with your mouse by holding down the left mouse button and moving your mouse across the scene. The buttons in the top-right of the image above enable you to switch between the aerial view (default), a road-map view, and a combination "hybrid" of the two - that is an aerial view with the road names added over the scene.
