Canterbury,
Kent
Many
fantastic aerials views of Kent may be enjoyed
from hot air balloon flights over Britian's
most south-easterly county.
Canterbury,
located in north-east Kent, is one of the
best-known ancient English towns. Canterbury
is, of course, a city today, benefitting
from all of the facilities one would expect
of a modern city, as well as the beauty
and charm of it’s long history. It
would be an omission not to at least mention
Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales”
(among the earliest works of English Literature),
and the famous murder of Archbishop Thomas
Becket at Canterbury Cathedral in 1170.
Surrounding the City of Canterbury are numerous
smaller towns and villages, including Bramling,
Bekesbourne, Adisham, Bridge, Nackington,
Street End, Chartham, Thanington, Harbledown,
Rough Common, Hales Place, Sturry, Fordwich,
and Littlebourne.
