Lydd,
Kent
Many
fantastic aerials views of Kent may be enjoyed
from hot air balloon flights over Britian's
most south-easterly county.
Lydd
is a Kentish village located in a largely
deserted part of the Romney Marshes. The
nearest larger centres are New
Romney to the north along the B2075,
and Rye which is located further west. The
main attraction to Lydd is probably the
nature reserve near Pilot Inn (just inland
from Dungeness Point) and the nearby RSPB
reserve.
Lydd benefits from its own small airstrip
but has few immediate neighbours within
the marshland area. Other small places surrounding
Lydd include Pilot Inn, Camber, East Guldeford,
Brookland, Old Romney, Littlestone-on-Sea
and Greatstone-on-Sea.
Passengers with vouchers
from Experience Day companies can, in many
cases, choose the location of their flight
from a range of take-off locations*.
