Malling is a picturesque little town in
the north of Kent. It is located between
Borough Green
(to the west) and Ditton and Aylesford
(to the east). West Malling is an attractive
town with an interesting range of historic
buildings and other visitor attractions.
St Leonard’s Tower is an excellent
example of a Norman tower keep dating from
around 1080. The old county (cricket) ground,
purchased by West Malling Parish Council
in 1994, is the site of the first recorded
cricket match played in Kent in 1705.
Also in the area surrounding West Malling
are Wrotham Heath, Great Cromp, Couch, Little
Comp, Offham, St Leonard’s Street,
Will Street, Larkfield, Leybourne and Addington.
