Cuckfield
is a large village situated on the A272
near the eastern edge of West Sussex. It
is approximately halfway between Bolney
(to the west) and its larger neighbour Haywards
Heath (to the east). The history of
Cuckfield is much more interesting than
one might imagine from its small marking
on maps. It used to be a significant coaching
stop on the route between Brighton
(13 miles away ) and London (34 miles away)
– this and other interesting historical

listed buildings.
