Middleton-on-Sea
is a West Sussex village and parish linked
to the built-up area surrounding Bognor
Regis. Located on the south coast of
West Sussex approx. halfway between Bognor
Regis and Littlehampton,
Middleton-on-Sea benefits from a sandy beach
and shingle bank. Middleton has an interesting
history some of which concerns places and
activities that no-longer exist –
due to erosion of the coastline or simply
changing times. This was the site of an
aircraft factory in the early 1900s and
later became a popular holiday destination
in the 1920s.
Other places, including villages surrounding
Middleton-on-Sea include Felpham,
Aldwick, Rose
Green, South Bersted, North Bersted, Colworth,
Shripney, Flansham, Bilsham, Ancton, Elmer
and Atherington.
Passengers can choose
