Midhurst
is a small town in the centre of the South
Downs. Midhurst is located on the A272 (east-west)
approximately halfway between Petersfield
(Hampshire) to the west and Petworth
to the east. Midhurst is also on the A286
(north-south) approximately halfway between
Haslemere to the north and Chichester
to the south. The whole South Downs area
is attractive and has plenty of points of
interest such as golf courses, country parks,
nature reserves, stately homes, and even
vineyards. The South Downs Way path passes
just a few miles south of Midhurst.
Surrounding Midhurst are many villages including
Minsted, Cocking Causeway, West Lavington,
Hoyle, South Ambersham, Halfway Bridge,
Easebourne, Lodsworth, Woolbeding and Stedham.
