Southwater
is a small town in West Sussex located on
the A24 between Horsham
(to the north) and West Grinstead (to the
south). Southwater is also due west of Billingshurst
(on the A29). Southwater benefits from its
own Country Park and convenient access to
all the facilities of its larger neighbour
Horsham. Despite its name, Southwater is
not situated on the south coast but it is
conveniently connected to the south coast
at Worthing via
the A24 (dual-carriageway most of the way)
to Worthing.
Villages surrounding Southwater include
Monk’s Gate, Nuthurst, Maplehurst,
Copsale, Dragons Green, Southwater Street,
Denne Park and Manning’s Heath.
