Warminster,
Wiltshire
Flying over the countryside
in a hot air balloon is an unforgettable
experience. It is the most romantic form
of flight, and a fantastic new perspective
of the world below !
Warminster
is a small town in the west of Wiltshire.
It is on the south-west edge of Salisbury
Plain, the large open area towards the centre
of the county. Don't be deceived into thinking
this is necesarily open-access for people
(and Hot-Air Balloons) though. Some parts
of Salisbury plain are always open to the
public, e.g. the English Heritage site Stonehenge.
Other parts of the area are sometimes or
always reserved for use by the British Army
who practise in this area. Therefore there
may be restrictions that apply to private
aircraft such as Hot Air Balloons.
Passengers can choose
the location of their flight after purchasing
a voucher accepted for flights all over
the UK. Prices depend on number of passengers
- more passengers cost less per person.
