Crosby,
Merseyside
Merseyside
is a densely populated coastal county, lots
of people, spirit, humour, lots to see -
from land and air.
Crosby
is an established area of Merseyside, north
of the main built-up area surrounding the
City of Liverpool. It is situated on the
coast and extending somewhat inland to the
north of Litherland and Bootle and south
of Formby (and the areas around Formby,
incl. Freshfield, Little Altcar, Hightown
and Ince Blundell).
Crosby is served by two Railway Stations
on the Merseyrail line between Liverpool
Central (Railway Station) and Southport.
It also has a golf course, beachs, sandunes,
horse-riding stables, and Merchant Taylors'
School (founded 1620).
Crosby is conveniently connected to major
roads and motorways, by the A565 into Bootle/Liverpool
(south) and Formby/Southport (north). The
nearest motorways are the M57 and the M58,
just a few miles away.
