St Micheal’s on Wyre is a beautiful
little village in a rural setting in the
Fylde area of Lancashire. This is a flat
area of land extending west to the Lancashire
coast and the Irish Sea.
It is just a few miles from the picturesque
village of Churchtown to the north-east
and Great Eccleston to the south-west. The
River Wyre flowing from Garstang is joined
to the east of St Micheal’s on Wyre
by the River Brock and meanders in a wide
sweep before passing under the bridge carrying
the A586 through the village from the A6
(Garstang area) to Poulton-le-Fylde and
Blackpool (North).
St Micheal’s on Wyre has a primary
school, historic Parish Church, village
hall, public house, St. Michael’s
Hall, residential properties and many surrounding
farms.
