Whalley, Lancashire

There's lots to see and do in Lancashire. A hot air balloon flight may be perfect for a birthday gift or special celebration.

Whalley is a small town located between Longridge Fell and the Forest of Pendle. It has tourist attractions such as the Whalley Abbey ruins and Stonyhurst Public School nearby in the village of Hurst Green. Whalley is reached along the A59 from Jn 31 of the M6 Motorway. It is north of Great Harwood and south of Clitheroe.

Whalley is close to the south-west section of the moorland area and Pendle Hill in the Forest of Pendle. Tourists driving through the area have a fantastic view of the impressive Victorian 48 bricked arches of the Whalley Viaduct which spans the River Calder and carries passenger trains at a height of over 21m to Whalley Railway Station. The Spring Wood Nature Trail and extensive Whalley Golf Course is located to the east of the town and the A671.
